Mon amis,
Malheureusement, cette article est "auf Deutsch"... (Pat, am I going well ?)
But this text's language, is not something that can force me of NOT taking some photos of this article for anyone who is familiar with German Language... The difficult part for me is to find out in WHICH magazine from my Audi litterature collection this article is included ... hahahahahah...
I took this photo long time ago from the magazine, without noticing the magazine's TITLE... I think it should be inside in a "VIER RINGE" or in a "COPILOT" Audi old magazine...
Just let me know if someone needs it and I will find it out...
kalinihta,
Theo

Hello, I have a copy from the original ABT brochure which tells and shows many STAGES of COUPE S tunning, according to the JOHANN ABT's pricelist... But there is no specific refair or photo of the specific car in this ABT Brochure... I have in my collection one black and white photo showing a similar Coupe S (without and engine).... and one article showing a typical Audi engine (with an older valve cover from an Audi F103) with the ABT ...TUNNING special inlet and carburators... I do have also a colored photo showing a pretty stock BLUE Coupe S with an orange front spoiler parked next to a NSU TTs under an ABT STAND... I still have the typical ABT front spoler plus the official ABT/AUDI TUV recognition document of this specific spare part. Be well, Theo

Citation : Burny a écrit: le noir n'a jamais été une couleur d'origine sur un 100S. A toi de voir si tu recherches une auto d'origine ou pas.
BONJOUR FRANCE, I would like to remind you that the special BLACK color (L 041) was available as an original paint to all Audi 100 Coupe S, 1975-1976 European markets' models. The Black paint was available as an original paint to all Audi 100 Coupe S 1973-1976, South African-Australian-New Zealand markets' models, too! The Black paint was also available as an original paint to the very early Audi 100 GL and LS (high compression engines ...) 1970-1971 US continent markets' models. At the same time this color wasn't available in any other market's Audi 100 c1 models, as far as I know... The L041 paint gives a very nice strict character to the Coupe S body figure... : : That's my 5cent, Bonne soirée, Theo

Forget to tell that the Audi 100 c1 series had almost a dozen of different downpipes, according the engines, the equipment and the production date of every C1 car, during almost the 9 years (august 1968- january 1977) of c1 production.

Hello Patrick, Allow me to add my knowledge on this issue... I don't like the "inox" exhaust items, when we are talking about an original restoration of an Audi 100/Coupe S cars. The Inox exhaust items maybe have more clean and shiny look, and they last loooonger, but at the same time they ...alter the very distingtive SOUND of our C1 cars (with the 1,9 and 1,8 liter engines on!). I do like the original SOUND which is quite unique. When I had runned the complete inox (including the front downpipe) exhaust system before 3 years, I was dissaponted to have more louder (they have lighter sound dampering stuff on the silanciers) noise, and there was a different ... DEPTH of the original c1 engine+original exhaust system, sounded like as a Golf I Gti!!!!! After this experience, I always prefer to have and use only the Original Audi exhaust spare parts. In comparisson with the aftermarket INOX items, they are cheaper, too! The only negative is that they are quite rare items. Look at my last collection of original Audi exhaust spare parts for my italian Coupe S (May 1971) which is under restoration, according the original Audi stuff.
In case of a custom made Audi c1 restoration, then, there is no problem and maybe there is no such questionmark, between INOX and original exhaust parts. I use and will continue to use INOX custom made (and expensive, too!) exhaust items on my orange quattro (3 inch inox pipes diameter all the way, 2 Racing metal catalysts).
I hope you understood my point of view...
My best regards to all of you!

Hello,
The "321...." code tells that it's a spare part number for VW PASSAT (almost the same car as the Audi 80 B1 model- Audi 80 B1 usually have spare parts' numbers starting with "823....". Officialy this model was named as the "typ82" model and not named as B1 model. The Audi 100 C1 also had the official name as "typ80" (2doors' model "typ801", 4doors' model "typ803" and Coupe S model as "typ815").
Best regards from Greece!

Salut Patrick,
I have found the same brake fluid pot from an old ALFA. But I noticed that it has NOT the same inclined bottom deck as the original pot on our Audis. Except this detail (maybe will cause some trouble of leaking fluid from the top???), I think that it can surely be installed in all Coupe S til1 1971 (manual gearbox) and til 1974 (automatic gearbox).
Best regards from ... Grece!
